About.
Souta was born in Misawa, Japan to mother Airi and father Jason Robins. His parents met as there is a large foreign military and naval presence in the area. His father was stationed at the Misawa base working for the American Navy and his mother worked in the school for the foreign children who's families lived there.
Their little family only lasted a few years before his father left, divorcing his mother and shipping out to another country. The only thing Souta ever got from his father was his last name. Probably a good thing. Spending his formative young childhood in Japan, they ended up moving to the states when his mother was offered a job at a school there, what with her years of working with English speaking children. His childhood is pretty normal from there, getting used to the difference of living in America and speaking predominantly English now, he grows up a friendly and sociable boy. Gets good grades, joins track and field when he's older up through high school. Eventually he goes to college for criminal justice and then straight to the police academy after he graduates.

First impressions.
Fashion. He wears the same three pairs of worn out dark wash jeans all the time. Black t-shirts. Darker colored henleys, both sleeves rolled up or down. His work boots are his only shoes. A cheap watch around his right wrist.
Demeanor. Gruff and uninterested at first. Mostly he doesn't want to get close to people, but he likes the company of others as much as he might try to keep them at arms length. Dry sense of humor, but once he relaxes a little (or has 3-4 drinks in him) he's much more lively. Much easier to smile then.
Aural. His voice is on the deeper end and softer spoken. When angry or if he's drunk that volume can definitely go up. He has a very slight Japanese accent, growing up with his mother in Japan for part of his childhood before they moved to America. It was heavier then, but as he started to predominantly speak English in school growing up a lot of his accent began to fade.
